Invitation to join us for the first Artist Hub at the Chesworth Art Farm

Where: Horsham

Who: professional artists (emerging or mid-career) from various backgrounds (including visual arts, media, performing arts, writers, song-writers etc)

Places are limited to 12 artists (first comes first basis)

Deadline for registration: Thu 6^th May at 5 pm

Cost: £5

Please bring £5 for the day, some food to share for the lunch buffet.  If you would like to show others your work bring images /recordings etc of your work on CD or USB.

What:

The day is thought to be for interested artists with different practices to get together and talk about ideas of developing a Farm- based 'creative hub' where practitioners can meet and share practice and ideas on an equal basis and potentially co-exist with other long term initiatives i.e. theatre workshops etc.

In order to explore the potential for an ongoing 'creative hub’ it will be useful for everyone to have an idea of the practice of the other artists involved.

The day would provide a space where (after initial introductions and short presentation about the idea of the 'creative hub') everyone has a short time to show either past work or work in progress.

While positive feedback may be appropriate this would not be a place for criticism but to share and acknowledge the work of others.

Informal discussion and an end of day feedback and suggestions for future Artist Hub events will follow this.

Artists are responsible to bring some food to share, which will be added to the artists lunch buffet. Coffee and teas are provided.

Please let us know if you have any accessibility needs. (Ground floor and toilets at the Art Farm is wheelchair accessible but the upstairs kitchen has only a staircase.)
